Connie Kathleen Kruse
GIBSON CITY -- Connie Kathleen Kruse, 61, Gibson City, formerly of Milford, died at 3:10 a.m. Wednesday (March 21, 2007) at the BroMenn Health Care Center in Normal.
Her memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the United Methodist Church in Gibson City, with the Rev. Scott Henley and the Rev. Neil Larimore officiating. Private burial will be in Drummer Township Cemetery in Gibson City.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City.
Mrs. Kruse was born April 19, 1945, in Watseka, a daughter of LaVerne and Evelyn Beherns Torbet. She married Bill Kruse on Feb. 23, 1969, in Milford. He survives in Gibson City.
Also surviving are two daughters, Molly (Jody) Martin, Paxton, and Amy (Marcus) Watterson, Elliott; two grandchildren, Tyler and Krista Martin; an adopted granddaughter, Alecia McRae; one grandchild on the way; and two sisters, Carol (Pat) Hauert, Tumwater, Wash., and Joyce (Jim) Reutter, Milford.
Mrs. Kruse lived in Gibson City for 36 years and formerly lived in Milford. She was a partner in business with her husband, Bill, in Kruse Real Estate and Auction Company and the Kruse Center Banquet Facility, all in Gibson City.
She had a passionate love of her grandchildren and great fondness for and devotion to animals.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the June Bane Animal Rescue or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
